Morale: n. how somebody feels emotionally; the general level of confidence or optimism felt by a person or group of people, especially as it affects discipline and motivation—Encarta Dictionary
Think there is no room for employee rewards and incentives in the corporate budget. Well, morale affects the retention rate and employee output directly. Employees are the nucleus to your company’s existence therefore making efforts to improve employee morale by keeping them enthusiastic, motivated, and inspired is a great way of maintaining the health and continuance of your business internally. Employees that are more content with their positions and responsibilities and who are recognized for their ambitious achievements are less likely to call out sick often and are more likely to be more productive. Keep your employees engaged by having individual pep talks once week or getting their opinions on important decisions like changes to the communication system between higher level managers and subordinates.
